Join us on Thursday, August 15 at 2:00 p.m. for our rescheduled presentation on “Newberry's African-American Soldiers of the Civil War,” presented by our Executive Director, Steven Kanpp. Learn about the creation of the first African-American regiments in the Union Army, the complex road to freedom, and Newberry County's own African-American veterans of the Civil War.


This presentation coincides with our current exhibit, The Toll of War.


Question & Answer session to follow immediately after.
