Join us on Saturday, June 1, as The Newberry Museum hosts Chad Bogart for a special program on the practice of embalming during the Civil War and 19th Century. Chad is the Museum Curatorial Assistant of Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park in Elizabethton, TN and possesses a wealth of knowledge about 18th and 19th century funeral practices.

Chad will be set up at the Newberry Museum all day from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Be sure to come by and learn about this important aspect of The Toll of War.
